The National Cherry Blossom Festival annually commemorates the 1912 gift to the city of Washington of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to enhance the growing friendship between the United States and Japan and celebrate the continued close relationship between our two peoples.

Oh so nice! Except the years when there is a late spring freeze and it ruins it all. But still, it's a beautiful place, cherry blossoms or no. You and me need to go together for a visit! I'm sure my dad would love that. We can go next spring. You should see DC in the fall though! It's gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
That looks like a LOT of allergies, Planny McSocializer! : )
Pretty flowers.
